New York Fashion Week is more than just about what designers are introducing for next season… it’s also a place where fashionistas from all around come to strut their stuff as photographers stand by, in front of, along side and even near Central Park where Ralph Lauren unveiled his collection or where models strut their stuff at the Salon of Lincoln Park.
Check out some of my favorite fashionistas of NYFW captured along the streets of New York and share if you would rock it!
I just love Fashion Week and seeing how people show off their style! Would you rock any of these looks?

This Tuesday TEN is celebrating the beauty of women! So many times in the fashion industry we focus on the smaller girls but this one is dedicated to some of my favorite full figured or what the industry calls “plus size” beauties.
No matter the proper terminology, we all come in different shapes and sizes and this should be recognized more. Here are my Tuesday TEN bodacious beauties!
1. Anansa Sims – The daughter of Beverly Johnson is completely flawless. I love how she exudes confidence.
2. Marquita Pring – This beautiful 23 yr old model is represented by IMG and has been modeling for eight years. She’s starred in many campaigns and is greatly known for her 2011 highly-anticipated shoot for Vogue Italia.
3. Christina Mendez – This glamazon is one of the industries most in demand models and have graced the pages of Elle.com, Latina Magazine, Shape.com, Essence, Cosmo Latina, Vogue.it, The Source Magazine just to name a few.
4. Ashley Graham – this lingerie model has appeared in many fashion magazines such as Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar. She was signed in 2001with Wilhelmina Models then moved to Ford Models in 2003.
5. Candice Huffine – This beauty was the first plus-sized model to be featured on Vogue contributors page. As stated on Fashionista, “She modelsIsabel Toledo’s designs for Lane Bryant for the glossy’s “Steal of the Month” column in the April 2014 issue ”
6. Joanne Borgella – This Haitian goddess is a singer, actress, jewelry designer and model! Most may remember her from America Idol in 2008.
7. Tara Lynn – Although Tara Lynn has stated “It’s hard to make clothes look great on big women” for this beauty it doesn’t look that difficult. She is a flawless beauty with or without clothes.
8. Robyn Lawley – This Australian hottie was the first plus size model chosen to appear in Ralph Lauren campaign in 2012. She has also graced the cover of Vogue Italia’s June 2011 issue.
9. Nadia Aboulhosn – The half-Lebanese Florida native became widely known for winning the American Apparel XL model search back in 2011.
10. Kaela Humphries – The bi-racial bombshell is the face of clothing line Evans.
Who are some of your favorites?

Ten Fall back Fashion ideas to rock!
From pastel colored coats to mid-century suit styled skirts, there are plenty new fashion trends to try this fall.
1. Pastel Colored Coats
Louis Vuitton introduced this beautiful pastel pink coat that will add a touch of luxury and femininity to any girl’s wardrobe.
2. Menswear fabrics
Taking menswear traditional prints such as hounds-tooth and even pinstripes then add it to feminine fabrics and drape flawlessly and you have a new way to wear menswear.
Some of the best draping of menswear done below by designer Haider Ackermann
The Parisian designer Bouchra Jarrar showcased this cross superbly done below:
3. Hourglass silhouettes
Showcasing your feminine form is in full swing for fall. Cinch in the waist with a belt and show off your decolletage with the right neckline.
Off the shoulder dresses and tops such as the one below from Prada shows the decolletage and feminine form at its best while still being classic.
4. The “Midi” mid-length skirt
Calf-cut skirts whether full, A-line or pencil all are great choices for fall.
Daks:
5. Romantic and frilly. Feathers of femininity is brought in both day and night wear. Add a feathered finished look to your fall wardrobe for a piece of luxury and mystery.
One of my favorite pieces. This winter white cocktail dress by Jason Wu (keeping the accessories to a minimum is a must with such a statement look of feathers)
6. Bandeau’s... yes even in fall and winter!
JW Anderson shows its nothing wrong with showcasing some shoulder during the fall season
7. Cape escape through fall
My favorite dramatic look is a cape! I love the long cape look #2 by designer Yigal Azrouel
8. Under wraps Tight hugging wraps and stoles are a go to fall trend.
9. Texture! Coats to skirts, pants and accessories… don’t be afraid to add texture to your look and even double it!
Ralph Lauren takes texture to another level with these intricate details:
10. Rise and Shine. Add a little metallic shine to this seasons looks.
Have you added any of these trends to your wardrobe already? Is there another trend worth sporting this fall season? Be sure to share!

Leather, lace, fur, mohair and even tweed. TEXTURE is what it is all about. Add some texture to your fall wardrobe for a little luxury and a lot of conversation.
Fendi fall 2013-14 fashion show was full of texture that even carried on through the accessories. Leather jackets and skirts plus fur on shoes and handbags made this a runway worth taking a look.
Please check it out: Fendi Fashion Show Fall-Winter 2013-14
Leather… a fabric you see throughout many seasons but in fall it reigns more predominant.
Street styles rule with leather in fall
Men keep it classic yet fashionable with leather jackets and accessories.
I love Calvin Klein mid length leather dress below:
Even BCBG had fun with leather this year…
Texture such as velour reigned supreme in Ralph Lauren fashion show and is shown through street stylists.
Stylistas even choose this fabric for fun accessories from Prada…
Sequins…
Men sport texture in many ways:
Lace never gets old. There is always a way to modernize and transition it into seasons.
Mohair and fur… How can you incorporate this into your look? Check out an example below:
Try mixing fur with leather like this street stylista
The fur fashion trend is added to accessories as well.
Men mix it in coats, tops and pants. Textures are cross gender in fashion.
Fall cometh!!! Only 31 days until Autumn. Fun trends from bold colors, biker jackets, to quirky emotion stating accessories, fall will sure bring poetry in motion to a whole new meaning. 🙂
Would you… Rock it or Knock it?
Lanvin Alber Elbaz made his collection fun yet edgy and fresh with the nameplate baubles. This happy and cool collection inspired you to use emotional statement accessories to express yourself as a literal walking fashion statement! You can shop the amazing Lanvin collection at any Bergdorf Goodman to get a few pieces of your own or you can even find this trend at look for less amazing website such as asos.com.
For men, Biker jackets are what’s in. From designers, Ralph Lauren, Dsquared2 and even Calvin Klein were huge advocates of this traditionalist approach in colors of brown and black. You can even find more modern styles offered in a variety of colors.
Will you Rock it or Knock it?
Best prints for fall come from London’s Preen designers Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi chose a subtle black-and-red spattering on their princess coat. Many more fun fall prints come from Duro Olowu and others who mixes vintage 50’s and 70’s prints.
Texture! From suede paneling to tweed men’s fashion for fall brings it all. Designer Missoni does it best. Would you Rock it or Knock it?
Bold blues, emerald greens, pungent purples, yellows and monochromatic whites are the color choices that top the list for women. Designer Valentino did it superbly with the shade of cerulean shown below. Ralph Lauren, Celine and Oscar de la Renta also showcased these bold colors in more traditional versus modern fashion styles. You will find the trend of velvet slowly making a comeback as well. Will you be adding these colors or textures to your wardrobe?
These are just a few of many Fall Fashion Trends. Will you give them a try?
