Shoes and SJP… it just makes sense!
When I read of Sarah Jessica Parker new shoe line in O Magazine there was no question or curiosity… to me, it just made sense. This icon portrayed one of the best television characters for us chicks as Carrie Bradshaw of Sex and The City. As this character she lived for fashion and most importantly beautifully crafted shoes.
How exciting it is to see her name attached to something that us ladies already connected her name with!
SJP made sure to give her very best to this shoe line. She shared her inspiration about her upcoming footwear saying:
“I’ve taken inspiration from things in my life such as the grosgrain ribbons I tied in my hair as a girl, to the flower accents from the Sex and the City wardrobe, to references to classic styles from the late Seventies and early Eighties. I’m a firm believer in quality and timelessness and have created this collection with the hopes that women will love wearing it for years to come.”
I love that she drew inspiration from her well known character and even named a shoe after it! The “Carrie” Pump is as timeless as the “Sex and the City” episodes I never grow tired of watching.
The much anticipated shoe line will debut in Nordstrom on February 28th and pricing will begin around $195. Although some may state this is a little pricey, I beg to differ when comparing the Manolo Blahnik‘s or Jimmy Choo‘s Carrie Bradshaw proudly sashayed in. Each shoe will have a specific name and her line will also include handbags and the “Manhattan” trench coat!
Here’s a sneak peak on what’s to come:
Diana, $365 Etta, $425
Pola, $365 Stella, $365
The “Leslie” wedge in coral ($245)
Inez, $245 ; Wallace, $220
Ladies… start your engines because it will be a mad dash come February 28th!
In the words of Carrie Bradshaw “Men I may not know, but shoes — shoes I know.”
